House, Deck, Shed and Walks in Louisville

The stone chimney

Black streaks ran down one edge of the chimney, the edge where rain comes off the roof every time it storms.

Under the carport

The siding under a carport never sees rain, so the dirt just builds. Here it had gray streaks across the wall.

The shed

The shed sits in the shade at the back of the yard, and its walls had heavy green streaks with a band of dirt along the bottom from rain splashing off bare soil.

The deck

The boards had gone gray with a green tint, the way wood does in the shade. After washing they came back to the color of the wood.
