Why every town gets its own page

The towns are not interchangeable

Exterior cleaning is a local job in a way most trades are not, because what grows on a house depends on what is around it. These are not four ways of saying the same thing.

  • Anchorage Oak and magnolia canopy

Permanent shade over a historic district, so roofs there hold moss as well as algae. Moss has roots. It needs a different treatment from a green film.

  • Bardstown Bourbon warehouses

Ethanol vapor off the rickhouses feeds a black fungus that no other town on this list has to deal with. It looks like dirt and does not come off like dirt.

  • Shepherdsville The Salt River

After high water the job is silt before it is anything else. Washing algae off a wall that still has river mud on it just moves the mud around.

  • Shelbyville Saddlebred horse farms

Board fence is quoted per job, not by the square foot like a house, because the type of fence and one side or two both change the work.

That is why each town has its own page rather than one page with the name swapped. If your town is on the list, the page for it will tell you what actually happens to houses there.
