Why Taylorsville is different
Taylorsville is the county seat of Spencer County and sits roughly midway between Louisville and Lexington, with Taylorsville Lake State Park and its 1,650 acres and 24 mile trail system on the doorstep. Most of the horse farms in the county sit closer to the Jefferson and Shelby County lines, because the interior gets hilly. That means two very different jobs here: houses on wooded rural lots, and long runs of board fence and barn siding that green up on the shaded side every year.
